description

openSIS Classic 9.3 is affected by an authorization flaw in its School Information update functionality. An authenticated user assigned the built-in teacher role may reset the password of another staff account. Exploitation requires access to a teacher-role account.

mitigation

Restrict or suspend teacher-role access to the affected School Information update function until a vendor update is available. Review teacher accounts and investigate unexpected staff password resets.
