description

Airflow deployments using the Amazon provider's AWS auth manager with SAML authentication are affected. An unauthenticated attacker who can persuade a victim to visit a web page can cause the victim's browser to use an Airflow session controlled by the attacker, potentially associating the victim's later activity with that session.

mitigation

Upgrade apache-airflow-providers-amazon to version 9.38.0 or later. Until upgraded, reduce exposure by disabling SAML authentication through the AWS auth manager where operationally feasible.

fixed in 9.38.0

auth requiredWhether an attacker needs an account first, based on the CVSS vector's Privileges Required.
