CVE-2026-86345
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-c4v7-fhgq-r988 ↗EUVD-2026-91139 ↗
description
389-ds-base, including the listed Red Hat Directory Server package streams, is affected during LDAP StartTLS negotiation. An on-path attacker may cause a client application to treat a failed bind as successful. The attacker must be able to intercept or modify traffic while the connection is upgrading to TLS.
mitigation
Restrict LDAP access to trusted network paths and prevent untrusted parties from intercepting or injecting traffic during StartTLS negotiation. No fixed version is recorded in the supplied advisory; monitor vendor updates and deploy a corrected 389-ds-base release when available.
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
