description

Apache Thrift language bindings released before 0.25.0 are affected by length and resource-handling flaws that can lead to exceptions, excessive memory use, or inefficient processing. An attacker may be able to trigger these outcomes where an affected binding processes relevant input; the advisory does not specify the exact exposure or deployment precondition.

mitigation

Upgrade affected Apache Thrift packages and bindings to version 0.25.0. Until upgrades are complete, reduce exposure of services that accept untrusted Thrift input and enforce resource limits where possible.

fixed in 0.25.0
