description

strukturag libheif from version 1.22.0 through versions before v1.23.2 is affected when decoding HEIF, HEIC, or AVIF files. An attacker able to supply a malicious image to an application using the library’s decoder may trigger an out-of-bounds heap write.

mitigation

Upgrade strukturag libheif to v1.23.2 or later. Until the upgrade is deployed, prevent processing of untrusted HEIF, HEIC, and AVIF files.

fixed in v1.23.2
