description

HPE NonStop SNMP Trap Multiplexer is affected by a buffer overflow that may allow remote code execution. An attacker can target an exposed service remotely without authentication or user interaction; network access to the service is the relevant precondition.

mitigation

Restrict network access to the SNMP Trap Multiplexer to trusted management systems and disable or isolate it where it is not required. Monitor HPE advisories and apply a vendor-provided update when one is released.
