description

U-Boot versions before 2026.10-rc5 improperly handle NFS READ reply lengths. An attacker controlling an NFS server used by the target can trigger memory corruption or crash the bootloader with a malformed reply.

mitigation

Upgrade U-Boot to version 2026.10-rc5 or later. Until upgraded, do not boot from or otherwise use untrusted NFS servers.

fixed in 2026.10-rc5
