CVE-2026-73548
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-3vhp-c83q-jqc2 ↗EUVD-2026-84103 ↗
description
Envoy can desynchronize requests on shared keep-alive HTTP/1.1 upstream connections when handling HTTP/2 extended CONNECT for configured non-WebSocket upgrades. An unauthenticated client may cause a different downstream client to receive a response intended for another request. Exploitation requires extended CONNECT, a configured non-WebSocket upgrade type, and shared upstream connection pooling.
mitigation
Upgrade Envoy to 1.39.1, 1.38.4, 1.37.6, 1.36.10 or later.
fixed in 1.39.1, 1.38.4, 1.37.6, 1.36.10
outcome
Check only, differential: the check fires on the vulnerable build and is silent on the patched one.
