CVE-2026-62376
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-r6w9-259g-gwrv ↗EUVD-2026-95994 ↗
description
Vikunja API versions before 2.4.0 retain password-reset, email-confirmation, and account-deletion tokens without hashing. An attacker able to read the database or a backup could use pending tokens to access affected accounts or perform the associated account action.
mitigation
Upgrade code.vikunja.io/api to version 2.4.0 or later. Until the upgrade is complete, restrict access to databases and backups, and invalidate pending user-action tokens after suspected exposure.
fixed in 2.4.0
outcome
Check only, differential: the check fires on the vulnerable build and is silent on the patched one.
