description

HKUDS Vibe-Trading versions 0.1.0 through 0.1.6 can leave the FastAPI interface accessible without authentication when API_AUTH_KEY is unset. An unauthenticated remote attacker may access application functions that can run commands, upload files, expose session history, or disclose portions of API credentials. The issue requires the authentication key configuration to be absent.

mitigation

Upgrade Vibe-Trading to version 0.1.7. Until upgraded, configure a nonempty API_AUTH_KEY and limit network access to the FastAPI service.
