description

networknt light-4j versions 2.1.5 through before 2.4.0 are affected by an authentication bypass in BasicAuthHandler. An unauthenticated attacker may authenticate as an LDAP/AD-delegated user when the affected Basic authentication and delegated directory authentication configuration is in use.

mitigation

Upgrade light-4j to version 2.4.0. Until the upgrade is complete, restrict exposure of services that use BasicAuthHandler with LDAP or Active Directory delegation.

fixed in 2.4.0
