description

Vanus 0.8.0 through 0.9.0 does not properly require authentication when publishing through the gateway CloudEvents HTTP receiver. A remote unauthenticated party that can reach the receiver can inject events into event buses, potentially causing delivery to configured subscription sinks.

mitigation

Do not expose the affected gateway receiver to untrusted networks; restrict access to trusted publishers and enforce authentication at a reverse proxy or network boundary. Upgrade to a vendor-fixed release when one is available; no fixed version is recorded in the advisory.
