description

Fleet versions before 4.83.0 are affected by a memory-exhaustion denial of service in gzip request-body handling. An unauthenticated remote attacker can cause the Fleet instance to become unavailable by targeting an endpoint that accepts gzip-compressed request bodies.

mitigation

Upgrade Fleet to version 4.83.0 or later. Until upgraded, restrict unauthenticated access to Fleet endpoints where feasible, especially from untrusted networks.

fixed in 4.83.0
