CVE-2026-111229
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-xf3x-9wqm-925c ↗EUVD-2026-102341 ↗
description
pfSense CE 2.7.0 through 2.9.0 is affected by a command injection flaw in Captive Portal HA synchronization. An attacker with the Captive Portal HA privilege can cause commands to run as root by controlling the synchronization service response.
mitigation
Revoke or tightly restrict the Captive Portal HA privilege and ensure synchronization endpoints are trusted and access-controlled. Disable Captive Portal HA synchronization where it is not required; no fixed version is recorded in the advisory.
outcome
Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
source signals
Public signals that triggered or updated the pipeline. These are inputs for the deltas above.
