CVE-2026-111223
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-743j-3p3m-6h73 ↗EUVD-2026-102335 ↗
description
pfSense CE 2.7.0 through 2.9.0 is affected by a configuration injection flaw in the IPsec Mobile login-banner setting. An authenticated user granted IPsec Mobile privileges could cause root-level command execution when the relevant service is restarted.
mitigation
Remove or tightly limit IPsec Mobile privileges and restrict access to accounts that retain them; review existing IPsec Mobile login-banner settings for unauthorized changes. Apply a vendor update when a fixed pfSense CE release is published.
outcome
Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
source signals
