description

Mercury versions earlier than 3.2.6 can let unauthenticated remote users run Python code through exposed Jupyter kernel functionality. Exploitation requires a tokenless deployment that is reachable by the attacker.

mitigation

Upgrade the mercury package to version 3.2.6 or later. Until upgrading, disable tokenless access and restrict network access to trusted users.

fixed in 3.2.6
