description

D-Link DIR-868L firmware 2.01b05 is affected by OS command injection in its HNAP CGI handler. A remote, unauthenticated attacker may execute operating-system commands by sending crafted HNAP requests to the device.

mitigation

Restrict access to the router's HNAP management interface to trusted administrative networks and do not expose it to the internet. Apply a vendor-provided firmware update if one becomes available; the evidence does not identify a fixed version.
