description

Affected MariaDB Server releases insufficiently validate binary FRM metadata when opening table files. An attacker able to place a crafted FRM file in the server data directory could cause out-of-bounds memory access, crash the server, or potentially execute code.

mitigation

Upgrade unnamed to 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, 13.0.2 or later.

fixed in 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, 13.0.2

outcome

Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
