description

Bit Integrations for WordPress through version 2.10.6 can allow an unauthenticated party to cause an administrator password change during log replay. Exposure requires a publicly reachable form whose registration-update flow maps user input to a password field, followed by an administrator replaying the resulting log entry.

mitigation

Disable or remove registration-update flows that accept password values from public forms, and do not replay log entries generated by anonymous submissions. Restrict public access to affected forms and apply a vendor-fixed release when one is documented.

outcome

Upstream: a detection for this already ships elsewhere, so we didn't generate a new one. The credit goes to whoever did.
