CVE-2026-101919
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-9pmf-w27v-pwpg ↗EUVD-2026-92524 ↗
description
HyperShift operator deployments can move attacker-controlled kubeconfig content into a privileged control-plane context. An authenticated user may obtain code execution in that context if they have permissions to create clusters and secrets.
mitigation
Restrict cluster and secret creation permissions to trusted administrators, especially for resources consumed by HyperShift, and audit existing kubeconfig secrets. Apply a vendor-provided fixed update when one is released for the affected package.
outcome
Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
source signals
Public signals that triggered or updated the pipeline. These are inputs for the deltas above.
